View our next exhibit “From the Studios of 19 on Paper” at the Barrington Public Library.


Our Members are painters, collage artists, printmakers, book artists, photographers, digital artists, and sculptors. The group has exhibited extensively in galleries and museums in New England and abroad. Individual artists of 19 on Paper have exhibited worldwide and several are published in a variety of print media.

Awards And Exhibitions


Best In Show In Plymouth

Paul Murray’s Namibian image, Adaptation , was awarded Best in Show in the Plymouth Center for the Arts' 58th Annual Juried Art Show . Selected from over 600 entries, the 190-piece exhibit representing the works of 160 artists across many mediums is on display through October 19th at the Center's galleries at 11 North St., Plymouth, MA.


Winning On Cape Cod


Joe Yoffa’s soft pastel, SILO #12 , earned a Second Place in the Cape Cod Art Center’s Road Trip”, a juried artist members exhibition, on view through October 17th at the Center’s galleries at 3480 Route 6A, Barnstable, MA.


Block Island’s Shore Wins At Providence Art Club


Kendra Ferreira’s Mohegan Bluffs, Block Island , a colored pencil drawing mounted on cradle board and varnished, won an Award of Merit in the Providence Art Club’s Fall Member Exhibit . With over 130 works, the competitive exhibition wrapped up in mid-September at the Club’s gallery in Providence, RI.


A Bit of Amsterdam in Newport


Lorraine Bromley’s watercolor, Along the Canal , inspired by a visit to Amsterdam, earned an Honorable Mention in the Spring Bull Gallery’s “Cities By The Sea” exhibit which ran through mid-September at the Gallery’s venue in Newport, RI.


Serendipitous


Kendra Ferreira’s drawing Sip of Serendipity was accepted to the 128th Annual Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club Open Juried Exhibition hosted at the Salmagundi Club of New York (SCNY). With an opening reception on Thursday, October 30th , the show is on view from October 28th through November 14th at SCNY’s Skylight and Moran galleries at 47 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.






Autumn Glow

Sally Caswell's Egrets in Early Morning Sunlight , an oil painting on canvas, was selected for the Rhode island Watercolor Society’s Autumn Glow: A National Juried Exhibition running from October 4th through November 7th at the Society’s galleries at Slater Memorial Park, 831 Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, RI.




Bringing Light To Providence


Twelve of Ann-Marie Gillett’s artworks, along with the work of two other artists, will be part of Art in the Atrium First U’s “Light Writes the Story” Exhibition . With an opening reception on Thursday, October 16th, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, the show will run through November 14th at First Unitarian Church of Providence’s gallery at One Benevolent Street, Providence, RI.




Following The Sun

Felicia Touhey’s monoprint collage, Sun Salutations , was selected for the Boston Printmakers Members’ Show 2025: “Making Waves” . Running through January 11th, most of the exhibit, including Felicia’s work, is on display at the Art Complex Museum, 189 Alden Street, Duxbury, MA, with additional work shown virtually.

Paul Murray’s Icelandic image, Evening Prayer , was one of 41 works in the Copley Society of Arts' Juried Members Show “Gather” , a diverse show running through October 25th at the Society’s Upper Gallery at 158 Newbury Street in Boston’s historic Back Bay.

Joe Yoffa’s soft pastel, WS #11 , was chosen for the Spring Bull Gallery’s “Abstraction” juried exhibit on view now through October 26th at the Gallery’s venue at 55 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI.


It’s All About The Trees


Ann-Marie Gillett’s In My World Trees Fall in Love, Seeking Sycamore, and Standing Proud , mixed media works with hand painted tape, shown below left to right, were selected as part of the Warwick Center for the Arts’ 39th Annual R.I. Open Exhibition . With a reception on October 9th (6 – 7:30 PM), the show opens on October 8th and runs through November 21st at the Center’s gallery at 3259 Post Road, Warwick, RI.

Cynthia DiDonato's Tree Talk at Dusk was chosen for the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative’s ”Scapes” Juried Exhibition which runs through November 11th at their gallery at 560 Mineral Spring Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.



Double Duty


Joe Yoffa’s soft pastel, SILO #25 , was selected for the Central Massachusetts Pastel Society’s “2025 Marks of Distinction” National Juried Exhibition at Fireworks in Harvard, MA, as well as the Connecticut Pastel Society’s “Renaissance in Pastel” National Juried Exhibition at the Arts Center East in Vernon, CT. Both exhibitions concluded in late September.

Paul Murray’s NYC subway image, The Daily Grind and Cuban image, For Hire , shown below left to right, as two of 128 works from 79 photographers based on over 800 submissions in the R. I. Center for Photographic Arts' "On The Street" Exhibition was on view through early October at the Center’s galleries in Providence, RI.




Delicious Bites


Ann-Marie Gillett’s Summer Relief II , an enhanced cyanotype, was part of the Seekonk Artist Network’s “Frost Bite” An Invitational Exhibition , inspired by a city-wide book reading project focusing on food, which was displayed at the Attleboro (MA) Art Museum’s gallery through mid-September.

Paul Murray’s military parachuting image, Seconds Away , and Cuban image , A Stairway To… , were two of many works in the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts’ “Resistance: Seen or Unseen” Juried Exhibition which was on view through mid-August at the Center’s galleries in Providence, RI.


Meeting The Challenge Of Existence


Ann-Marie Gillett’s Life’s Persistence was part of Imago Gallery’s Regeneration/Transformation exhibition which concluded in late August at their venue in Warren, RI.




Yachting In Paducah


Paul Murray’s 12-metre yacht racing image, A Crowded Start , was one of 50 - 60 works out of over 500 entries from 30 states and seven countries in the Yeiser Art Center's Art Through the Lens 2025 exhibition, which ran through mid-September at the Center's gallery in Paducah, KY.



Exploring Digital Expression


Cynthia DiDonato's Red , a three-minute moving image, was part of Los Angeles Center for Digital Art (LACDA) ’s Techspressionism in LA , Techspressionist’s first West Coast exhibition at LACDA’s galleries which concluded in late August.



From Here To Uzbekistan

Cynthia DiDonato's and Judith Jacobs's digital artwork images are part of Hello Uzbekistan! at the Contemporary Art Museum of Uzbekistan which runs through October 25th.


Snippets…



This summer Vera Gierke took two workshops that explored new avenues for her work…


1 - Gyotaku , (above) also called Fish Printing, which started long ago as a way to make a record of fish that were caught, but within the past century this tradition has been turned into an artform.

2 - Paper Marbling (below) in which patterns are created by floating various paints on the surface of water with a surfactant added to help the paint to move into various patterns. The paint pattern is then transferred to either paper or fabric. Each print is unique.
