19 on Paper Spring Newsletter 2021
Second Edition
Formed in 1986, 19 on Paper is a group of New England artists who create works of art on or with paper, which we exhibit as a group.
We are excited to announce our first group show of the new season at
Spring Bull Gallery!
Featured Member: Ann-Marie Gillette

Ann-Marie Gillett began her art career with a BS in art education from R.I. College. She continued her postgraduate studies in painting, ceramics and printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design, Bennington College and Massachusetts School of Art and Design. After doing freelance illustration and operating a one-woman textile business (Softworks) she became a visual arts teacher and department head at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI. She also taught adult students in the Brown University MAT program. Recently she returned to her studio practice full time and has won awards and exhibited her work in both group and solo shows in numerous galleries throughout New England.

"My current work explores various themes that give rise to vastly different imagery but are born from the same source—the natural world that exists around me on my 12-acre homestead. Both the cultivated and the wild elements of nature are a source of comfort, awe, and inspiration to me."
More of Ann-Marie's work can be viewed here.....
In a recent interview, featured member artist Ann-Marie Gillett talks about the her artwork in

Do you like the art you see?

Great! As a group, we lease our art and sell our portfolios. We would be happy to talk with you about how we can provide high-quality art in your residential or corporate environment. Additionally, all our group activities complement and enhance the exhibiting, publishing, licensing and selling activities that we do as individual artists.

Are you interested in joining 19 on Paper?

Based on the group’s size and composition, we invite artists to be members. After an informal discussion about interests and expectations, those invited are asked to share a representative set of their paper-based work, a resume highlighting their artistic experience, and any other material that could assist with the group’s membership decision. Since we value exchange, collaboration, and continuity, consistent participation in our monthly meetings and group activities is an important membership commitment.
