19 on Paper Fall Newsletter 2021
Fourth Edition
Formed in 1986, 19 on Paper is a group of New England artists who create works of art on or with paper, which we exhibit as a group.
Featured Member: Marion Wilner

With a blank canvas and a seemingly endless supply of enthusiasm, Marion Wilner created the art program at Bristol Community College. Fifty years ago, Wilner was called on to teach an art history class at the newly formed community college, which is marking its 50th anniversary this year.

They needed a class to fulfill a humanities elective, she said, and founding president Jack Hudnall called on Wilner to teach it. A native of New York who studied at Parsons School of Design, New York University and the Art Student's League, Wilner was already known in the city as one of a group of people who founded the Fall River Art Association.

Do you like the art you see?

Great! As a group, we lease our art and sell our portfolios. We would be happy to talk with you about how we can provide high-quality art in your residential or corporate environment. Additionally, all our group activities complement and enhance the exhibiting, publishing, licensing and selling activities that we do as individual artists.

Are you interested in joining 19 on Paper?

Based on the group’s size and composition, we invite artists to be members. After an informal discussion about interests and expectations, those invited are asked to share a representative set of their paper-based work, a resume highlighting their artistic experience, and any other material that could assist with the group’s membership decision. Since we value exchange, collaboration, and continuity, consistent participation in our monthly meetings and group activities is an important membership commitment.
