These canyon pieces are literal as well as abstract, presenting sensual elegant images of great depth and character. They were photographed at Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon on the Navajo indian reservation in northern Arizona. Moving amongst snakes and lizards who didn't seem particularly bothered by my presence, I was in this narrow canyon for two separate full days. For the first time, I have no memory of recording these images. Time and space did not seem to exist. -Howard Rubenstein
