Lane W Newquist Originally from Chicago, I have resided in Rhode island for over 35 years. Primarily self-taught, I currently use digital cameras, but also occasionally photograph using film cameras. My range of photographic subjects is broad, from abstracts to traditional landscapes. I am a member of long-standing in the Photographic Society of Rhode Island (psri), with which I have been president, secretary, and legal counsel. I am also a member of Art in the Court, a group of Rhode Island artists that coordinates art exhibits in the State’s Courthouses. In addition, I am a member of South County Photographic Artists and Nineteen on Paper. My images have been selected in juried art shows, and have been exhibited in group exhibitions over the years. I have been among a small group of Rhode Island artists to be selected by U.S. Senator Whitehouse to exhibit art in the Senator’s Washington, D.C. and Providence offices. © All rights reserved to 19 on Paper and its individual members.
